About

An independent software publisher

Kindfield Works exists to build focused products and to look after them once they are in people’s hands. This page sets out what the company is, what it builds, who is behind it, and the standard every product shares.

What it is

A publisher, not a single app

Kindfield Works is an independent software publisher. It is the company behind the products, not a product itself. Each product keeps its own name, design, voice, and support channel; Kindfield Works provides the common foundation underneath them.

That structure is deliberate. A booking tool for a small service business and a tool for a classroom serve different people and should not be forced to share one identity. What they share is how they are decided, built, and maintained.

What it builds

Focused products for work, learning, and play

The portfolio spans business operations, education, and entertainment. The common thread is not an industry — it is focused, thoughtfully built software with a clear job to do.

Every product is listed with its real stage of development on the products page. Nothing is presented as available before it is.

Who is behind it

Independently owned and led

Kindfield Works was founded by Daniel Escobedo, who sets its product direction and its standard for design, engineering, and support. The company is independently owned: there are no outside investors, and no pressure to grow a product past the job it does well.

Each product is owned and answered for on its own terms. When a collaborator contributes to a specific product, the arrangement is set out in a written agreement covering that product, so ownership, responsibility, and support stay clear to the people who rely on it.

What connects the portfolio

One standard of care

Products do not share a look. They share the way they are made and kept.

Careful design
Fewer decisions, made deliberately. A product should be understandable the first time someone opens it and still make sense a year later.
Practical usefulness
Products are built for real work rather than for demonstrations. A feature that does not help someone finish something does not belong in the release.
Respectful operation
No dark patterns, no attention traps, and no selling customer data. Privacy, pricing clarity, and support are treated as parts of the product.
Long-term stewardship
Kindfield Works only publishes what it is prepared to maintain. A product is supported for as long as it is offered — not launched and left.
